Kent was born in Missouri but has called Arizona home for over fifty years.  He is a graduate of Madison Schools, Camelback High and Arizona State University.  Before founding Corbin Financial, Inc., he was an eighth grade teacher and then principal of Longview School for five years.

Kent has been Chairman of the Board for both Junior Achievement of Central Arizona and the Arizona Chapter of the National Safety Council.  He currently serves on the board of the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff of which he is past chairman.  He is a past president of the Phoenix Mid-Town Rotary Club. 

Kent is a true Arizona cowboy and is a past president of the Sheriff’s Mounted Posse of Maricopa County which volunteers for horseback search and rescue missions.

Kent has sailed the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, explored the mountain ranges of Alaska, hiked the Midwest plains and ridden horseback through the ever-changing beauty of the Southwest Desert.  He particularly enjoys expressing his enthusiasm for the variety of scenery he has absorbed through his travels through his painting:  oils, acrylics and watercolors.  And through his photography.  He had his first gallery showing in Scottsdale in the spring of 2002.

Kent has worked in financial services for thirty years, specializing in retirement and business strategies.  He is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table.  He is president of Corbin Financial, Inc.
